Sick leave/returning to work
I work for a British employer in Holland and have recently had surgery here in Holland. My employer is requesting a fit to work note but understand that the Dutch don't provide these. How do I get some documentation so that I can get back to work.
Thanks in anticipation!

Hi and welcome to BE.
Sorry to hear about your surgery.
As the Welcome Inn is just for introductions and site orientation, you'll need to repost your question on our Netherlands forum here Netherlands - British Expats
We ask all BE members to have a look at the site rules, and for any site related problems to please contact one of our friendly moderators - their details are in the lower right hand corner of each index page.
Best of luck with finding the info you're looking for.

Re: Sick leave/returning to work
If you work in Holland you should be referred to the ARBo - each company should have its own company doctor or arbo and they perform the interviews to sign you of and back into work. Your company pays for this. If your company does not have an ARBo I would ask them what they wOuld like you to do as it is for their insurance but I would be very surprised as I believe it is a requirement under Dutch law.
