I feel much better after being on here for a while, I've felt quite depressed over the last few days! It's nice to know you're not alone

I would, despite a few niggles with it. As it is we have bought one 2 roads away, a bit bigger and socialise more with the old neighbours too. It is great to be back.

Do I speak french! Well as much as anyone else who got taught it up to the age of 12.

Ironically whilst living in Britian I took the continent for granted and would never have thought of living in france, spain or Italy. Now after my stint in my sunny coffin all those places are looking just so appertizing now.
So that's 'bonjour, jemapelle (sp?) usagypsies' ha ha hmmm don't think I'd survive long in France. Hopefully you remember a bit more than me.
Sunny Coffin.... I like it! Where is your sunny coffin located... you are in the US right? I know what you mean about considering other parts of Europe now that you've been away. One good thing that has come from living outside of the UK is that it certainly open's your mind to possibilities that you probably would never have even given a thought to if you had stayed in your home town comfort zone. I definately feel more empowered being 'away' and even started working for myself, earning my own income rather than working for someone else as I did for years and years in London. If/when we go home I will go back with more than I left with as far as kowledge and ability.

Must be sucky if the bastards want u to pay much more than what you sold it for but guess thats inflation for yah!
Would be comforting with all the memories the old house has for u and if some of the old people still live in the same area.:}
