Maplins is a great resource for such things, and also for the smaller value fuses I recommended in post #14, above.

Fantastic, so something as simple as this should do the trick? UK Plug Adapter Grounded Type G SS414 - Black or White

ETA
This would work just as well.

Thanks all.
Any idea if a Smart TV with 19.5v 94w power will work in the UK with a new power supply?

A smart TV is already probably dual voltage - look at the spec panel on the back near the power cord connection. What brand/ model is it?

The Sony specs PDF says: "Power Consumption (in Standby) 120V : 0.45W / 240V : 0.50W", so it appears to be a dual voltage device. ..... But like I said, look on the back to double-check the power specs.

Does it have an external power supply, like a laptop power supply with a black box part way along the cord?
Otherwise it must say somewhere else what voltage it is safe to connect it to - everything has to have that somewhere, US & UK, whether a toaster or a cooker, or anything in between.

OK, so it says "Inputs: .... 100v-240v .... 50/60Hz", so you just need a new plug or power cord, exactly as we described for your computer, and you're good to go!
And remember to switch out the fuse in the 13A plug for something lower. In fact a 1A fuse is more than adequate for 94w, but you might not find a 1A fuse readily available (Maplin might have some), so go with the lowest you can find, which should be 2A.

There is one thing other users are missing out on, you may need to upgrade your telephone adsl port on your desktop.
