My current contract is with a pharmaceutical company, who gave us Dec 23rd, 24th, 25th, 30th and 31st ALL paid time off. I also took off the 27th, which was grand.

Technically I'm supposed to be back at work today, but Little O is having yet ANOTHER procedure done up at Children's Hospital so I'm off again. At work tomorrow, then more Little O stuff on Wed and Thurs... so just one more day at work on Friday and then it's the weekend! Whoop whoop!

(I reckon a lot of parents have scheduled their children's procedures for today. Children's Hospital is jumping, jumping.

)

Children's Hospital in Milwaukee?

My baby daughter is up there today for her kidney check up. That'd explain why I haven't heard from my wife yet. I'm a wreck sitting waiting for the news

Back today, but I worked last week too so its much the same as normal for me except I feel more FAT!!!

Hubby has been off since 23rd and has today off too and back tomorrow - ha now that will a BIG shock for him!!!

They set off early this morning, before even I did but we're not far from Milwaukee and there was only one stop to pick up her ma in Burlington on the way up so I suspect her appt was for around 9 or so but I guess if it is as busy as you say then they could well be a while yet. I was rather hoping she'd swing by the office on the way home so I could see the wee-un but she might not be able to.

Oh well. Enjoy your wait!

Friday was a normal work day for most in the UK and the New Year bank holiday carried over to today (Monday).

A lot of people take annual leave the three days between Christmas and New Year but I find a actually get more work done as the phone isn't ringing constantly.
