Default What documentation is required to move back to UK?

I have dual citizenship both US and UK. When I return to UK for good do I need anything or just my British passport? I need to renew it as well but holding off as bloody expensive to do right now.

No no i was in Australia. We have been back nearly 3mths now. We were out of uk for 10yrs all up, but spent some time in NZ before going to Aus.
We are definitely staying here for good. We are loving being back.

Good luck on your move

Having a National Insurance number will help for employment, paying taxes, etc. Otherwise, this site covers just about all government services:

Although having a UK PP is the easiest...I seem to remember reading on here that you do not necessarily have to have one. I think you can enter the UK with your US PP...of course this means you will be a visitor but you can adjust your status later. You are entitled to enter the UK because you are a UK citizen with or without a PP...you will have to prove you are a citizen...maybe a birth certificate, expired PP etc.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will be along to help you. Good luck.
