We have sattelite t.v. in california and get pretty much any channel we want...especially the European football. If I remember correctly, we had to have the dish re-directed so we COULD NOT receive snooker...hehehe

I hope it's possible in KY too then.
If not, then I'll just have to get my own table...

I'm from Jakarta, Indonesia.

What I miss the most is:
- MY FAMILY!!
- Public transportation (we live in a small town)
- Real cheese (cheese here doesn't taste like cheese)
- Watching European soccer/football games on national tv
- Watching real grand prix (not NASCAR)
- All natural juice
- Big and cheap avocados (I love avocado juice)
- Indonesian food
- Traditional (messy) market
- Tropical climate (dry climate makes my skin and lips extreemly dry)

After a couple of months in the good ol' USofA I'm pretty much done with missing things from the UK.
Many thanks go to http://britishdelights.com/ for their ability to deliver all the food goodies I miss. Being a Leeds Utd supporter, I no longer miss football (soccer...grrrr). I'm living in Northern California so be sure I'm not missing the weather.
Yup, life is good

I miss Tesco's/M&S/Waitrose ready prepared foods. The prepared foods are so expensive here and not as nice.

I also miss Eastenders and Casualty.

Tho its nothing compared to missing my family

At the moment that is all I miss.

I Love dunkin donut coffee, living close to shops (i used to live in the country), love being close to bars etc so that i can socialise without having to drive and not drink.

AND I LOVE MY HUSBAND

Philippines is my native land. I miss the tropical weather, island way of living, mangoes, my parents' humble house sorounded by palm trees and my late mother's orchids, filipino food, afternoon napping on a woven hammocks under the coconut trees on weekends. Riding jeepneys, haggling at flee markets, the Boracay beach resort ...Manila traffic, of course my family and watching the news in Tagalog.

As far as what I find annoying here in the states, honestly apart from my hardship getting my interim EAD, I could say I am doing well with adjustments living here and being with my husband. Its worth it.
