Default What do I need when I get to the UK from the US?

Hello,

I'm totally baffled as to what I have to do when I land in the UK apart from the
obvious passport issue.
Where do I go to re instate my UK citizenship? I don't want to get to the UK and have nothing set up. I mean do I need a two way ticket if I have a place to stay until I get my paperwork in order? What about work permits, how do I get one to work in the UK?
maybe getting in the UK isn't that hard as a UK citizen, but what then?
I have to have somewhere to go to get my legal status verified.
I'm totally lost at the moment.
any help would be appreciated.
This is utterly nerve wracking in a way I can't describe.

Steve, have a look at the responses to your previous posts. There's nothing you need to do, and nowhere you need to go. You don't need to 'reinstate' your UK citizenship, because you never lost it. Your existing UK passport verifies your legal status. There is no paperwork you need to complete.

You just return to the UK and then do whatever it is you need to do to settle in - rent a place to live, get a job, sign on at your local GP etc.

You don't need any paperwork to live in the UK. Just your British passport.
What you DO need is somewhere to live as soon as you arrive in the UK and money to support yourself until you find employment.
In your earlier posts you said your passport had expired. While you could enter the UK and then get it renewed it would be more efficient to get it renewed before you left the US.
