Default Waiting for AOS Interview in NYC

Wondering how long we're going to have to wait to hear from the INS
for an AOS interview. My husband arrived in the US on a K-1, we
married, and filed the I-485 paperwork in August 2002. Dates as
follows-:

Married: 5/22/02
I-485 mailed: 8/15/02
CashReg Receipt: 8/21/02
Picked up 1Yr EAD: 11/19/02
Received 2nd EAD: 12/15/03

Nothing from the INS since then. Waiting, Waiting, W A I T I N G
........
Getting old .............

Is my husband's position going to be any more secure after the 2nd
year anniversery of our marriage?

Julie.

If his AOS is successful after your second wedding anniversary there will be no conditons on his residency. This means you are free of USCIS for ten years until you have to renew the green card or unless he petitions for naturalizaiton.

Thanks, Rete. Any idea how much longer we will need to wait for the
AOS interview appointment letter.

Julie

FYI for everybody else here is a url for NY processing time:

https://egov.immigration.gov/graphic...ectedOffice=49

Can anyone make any sense of this?

What is confusing you, Sonny? The chart says NYC is processing AOS petitions dated May 9, 2002. Since you filed in August you have a few more months to go. Probably will be receiving notification to go for biometrics in a few months.

hiya. i noticed that the processing chart for NYC during December stated
that they are working on June 2, 2002 applications, now it looks like
they've back tracked to the May applications... What gives??
