UK USA Tax returns...

This is an enquiry that is aimed at US persons who reside in the UK. As Tax season approaches I was wondering how you all approach your tax reporting obligations? Do you do it yourself, do you use 2 separate companies , or do you use someone in the UK who is familiar with both tax systems?

I am just pondering the process and what others find works for them, though I also understand everyone's financial situations will be different. It is looking likely that after this year settles, I will be receiving my income from the US in the form of annuity and drawing down IRA funds, both of which originate in the US. I do understand that tax returns will have to be filed for both countries and tax treaty exists to help prevent dual taxation but I am now trying to ascertain the pro and cons of having someone to do both over two separate entities. Some may be savvy and educated enough to do it themselves.

Thank you.
