Default UK tourist visa but US study visa expiring

Does anyone know if the UK immigration officers would decline a UK tourist visa because a US F-1 visa is soon to expire (within 30 days)?

I heard other countries don't give tourist visas if you have a resident/long term visa expiring in another country within 6 months.

Any help appreciated!

It would depend on what the person's intentions were after their UK visit.

They would leave afterwards to their own country.

If they have evidence of that (booked flights) and sufficient ties to their home country then that shouldn’t necessarily be a problem.

Great thanks, seems like that is correct but wanted to make sure it wasn't a set rule for foreign expiring visas.
