Default UK shopping - hold me back ladies...

3 weeks to go, so been doing a sneak preview on line of some of the UK shops.

OMBG how feaking cheap is it over there!!!!!!

From shoes to a christmas turkey and sprouts its bloody half price or less.

2 years away and I didnt actually realise how cheap it had got.

I am now not bothering to pack just taking empty cases and some clean knickers, will buy the rest there.

Joy deep joy.

You're right! We got two weeks worth of grocery shopping from Iceland today and it came to a grand total of 40 quid!

Lobb have a special offer on at the moment. Buy two pairs and they'll knock 1,000 pounds from the 2nd pair.

Can't be bothered walking round the store, choosing what we want, then having to lug it back home on the bus.. So we have ASDA do the work, order on line, choose a suitable delivery slot, sit back and wait for it to come. They have always delivered at the right time. Advantage is that there are NO impulse buys. Still get the special offers

It really is bargain city at the moment - every shop you go has sales. I have managed to get alot of Christmas stuff at half price and with the exchange rate coming this way you can have extra spend, spend, spend

I am astounded at the good deals available here at this time of year.

Argos were doing 3 toys for the price of 2 which has been VERY handy for me with all the grandchildren to buy for!
Also got great deals in Sainsburys last week on toys. Loads of stuff 50% off!

As someone living in the UK, I hadn't considered it to be especially cheap to live here.

However, I was in Greece last week and boy, was it expensive! Not only eating out, but also food in mini-supermarkets. I guess the exchange rate doesn't help but, even at the old rate, it would still have been expensive.
