That about covers my list then Bramble!!!!

I spend many a happy hour on those. Then come off thouroughly brassed off because reality hits; we're here and I would rather be there!

Arkon, does this mean you're looking at getting out of there sooner rather than later then?

If you're looking for specific areas try yelling for estate agents too. Loads of online local agents now.

Hutch posted a website on here recently. www.ononemap.com. I have only just had a look at this and have found it really good.

Thanks all for the sites. Thats great. And TraceyW no, I'm not going home anytime soon, but it doesn't hurt to look and yearn.

I'll just add. I spend many an hour trying to figure out how to escape and absorb the big financial loss from comming here. One idea is to buy some land in the UK and build a house, It would go someway to offsetting my loss here.

Our mates are doing that in north Cornwall. They bought the land and had the house shipped over from Germany in kit form. Then they have to breeze block it etc. Way cheaper option.

Oh I saw something on tv about one of those...amazing! They had a German team to build it and do the basics, pipes and electrics..took them 48 hours! That's going some! Very tempted
