UK Endowment Policies
 

Hi,

Has anyone any idea how the IRS in the US treats British endowment policies?

When we moved here from the UK we sold our house, but we have kept our endowment policies going.

I just want to make sure the IRS aren't going to try to tax them - which would make keeping up the payments a signiicantly less attractive option.

At maturity they would not be liable to tax in the UK.
