Default Uk driving licence

hi guys i passed my prectical test for driving licence back in januay 2011 and i have got my licence now but its only valid for 3 years !! i am so confuse why is it valid for 3 years ??? any answer please

Hi guys i am not a uk citizen but i have perminent visa to saty in uk for ever and i am 26 years old its strange my mate has same status in uk and he recently passed his dl and his licence is for 10 year i think but mine is for 3 years cant get it why/?

The expire date on your DL is probably the same as your visa. We found the same when we moved to the US...our US DLs expired at the same date as our US visas.

hi thanks for reply but i have got permanent visa indefinite visa it does nto expire,,

It might have changed since I left the UK but 3 year validity licences used to be issued to those suffering from a notifiable medical condition.
