UK domicile Dual UK/USA citizen ?
I am a dual citizen USA /UK . If I become domiciled in UK will that affect my Fed and State pensions and will I still be able to continue with Medicare? Anyone know any other pros/cons of being domiciled in UK ? I plan to spend approx 9 months in UK . I know people "live" in other parts of world and return to USA for part of year and seem to pick up with medical care . This is all quite overwhelming any thoughts would be appreciated . Thanks

Re: UK domicile Dual UK/USA citizen ?
My wife and I have been in the same situation for a few years now, i.e. dual citizens domiciled in the UK.
We don't have Federal or State pensions but do receive SS which is unaffected by living in the UK. I know someone who is domiciled in England who does receive a government pension and that also is unaffected by his living overseas, and I also know someone who is retired US military living here and his military pension is paid as normal.
My wife and I both have Medicare part A and would use it if ever we were hospitalized on a visit to the US. Note that Medicare and its various parts only apply to when you are present in the USA and don't provide cover when traveling or living abroad.
