id drop transfermate.com a line. I had the same issue with a an aussi dollar payment.
You can send it to their foreign currency account and wait till a rate hits that suits or put a live order in which is what i did, that means if the rate hits even at night or weekend you get it automatically as watching rates all day is painful

Yes, if you are prepared to pay a hugh commission if they are using HSBC to transfer the money. Far better to use a currency transfer company.
