Default Tax on transferring money back to uk??

We will be returning to the UK for a stay of 3 to 5 years after 18 years in Australia
We are thinking of selling up in Australia and bringing all our cash back to the UK,are we liable for any tax on what we bring in?
Would be pleased if anyone could advise
Regards Baxter

Hi Baxter

If you bring money over to the UK that was earned when you were a non-resident of UK, and have already paid Australian tax on it, there will not be any tax concequence.

Feel free to call me if you would like to discuss this in detail.
