Tax from sale of UK property - BE Tax guy?
I was wondering if you remembered the name of the BE member who is a tax guy somewhere in the Northeast? I'm not sure their CPA is giving them correct advice and this guy may understand the situation better.
Our friends who moved from the UK last summer have been told that they will need to pay US taxes from the sale of a property they have sold which is not liable for UK taxes which makes me think it was their primary residence, I don't know this for sure, I've just emailed her to find that out.
