It does depend on how much money is earning interest, if she is getting a lot of interest, then she does need to complete at least one tax return to see if
a) she has any to pay or
b) if she can claim any back.

My total interest on my UK savings is tiny haha. Wouldn't be worth my while sitting down to do the return. I do have substantial savings in China but I'll consider how to get that back to the UK later.

Hello

My daughter is currently a UK residence. Last year she has helped completing a tax return as her company pays for it. This year, however, she may need to do it on her own as KPMG quoted a bill of GBP1100.

Is there anyway of shopping around for a tax specialist in UK that can help her complete the tax return?

Thanks for your help.
