Superannuation and pensions

Hi,
I am an expat that moved to Australia many years ago. My husband and I are moving back to the UK. I need a Financial Advisor that knows about recipricol countries so my husband can apply for his pension at pension age. We believe Ireland is a recipricol country however, do you have to be a resident to apply, and if so how long do you have to be a resident for? Thank you

For your husband to apply for an Australian age pension from the ROI, he'll need to be living there on a permanent basis and have an bank account there for the pension to be paid into. All the other usual eligibility criteria applies, such as minimum Australian residency of 10 years, and tests on his worldwide income and assets.
This is the application form he'd need to complete when living in Ireland
