My relatives that come and visit often end up taking the huge tubs of ibuprofen from Costco, nasal spray, calcium tablets, cortisone cream and make up back with them.

I prefer biltong over jerky.

I'll take your word for it, I am no hurry to try any jerky again *gag*

Try the Great Value brand from Wally World. If you make sure it's fresh (squishy in the bag), the Teryaki flavour really isn't bad. I HAVE to eat it as a snack as I'm diabetic and it's about the only thing that's got good protein and low carbs.

My sister and niece both always ask for Reese's peanut butter cups, so I usually get a big variety pack for them. Lat time I went (January), I found a 5 pound bar of Ghirardelli chocolate on sale at Amazon, reduced from $60 to $25, and that went down a storm. I usually wouldn't insult the UK with American chocolate, but the Ghirardelli stuff is pretty good.

Don't take Hershey Bars, unless you want your relatives/friends to start hating you.

The first time I flew over to visit DH, I wore Clinique Aromatics Elixir which he liked ALOT . Anyway after I left him to come back here he remarked that he'd gotten into a taxi the next week and innocently and enthusiastically remarked that the air freshener smelled JUST LIKE MY COLOGNE.

Ranch dressing mix
Peanut butter M&M's
Double bubble gum
Tootsie rolls
Those were always in my luggage to England.

My SIL makes his own venison jerky. It's delicious! Soft and flavorful and a million times better than store-bought.

Two things. First, your SISTER-in-law makes HIS own...??? Strange guy/girl!

Second, wouldn't it be highly illegal to take this stuff across borders?

My SON-in-law makes his own venison jerky. And it's not on my "luggage to England" list, just saying it's better than the store-bought stuff.

Resses peanutbutter cups
York peppermint patties
Seasonal Peeps/M&Ms/jelly beans if it's Easter/Christmas/Halloween
Flea drops for the cat (cheaper here & work better than UK ones)

Many years ago, used to take:

Cheap American kid's shoes & clothes
Cheap American (adult) tights/stockings
American antiperspirant, but now UK antiperspirants are strong enough
Oreos
Kraft Mac&Cheese
Velveeta cheese block (hahaha!!!)

Partridge's in Kensington import American foods, but there's a significant mark up in prices. Has anyone been to one of the UK Whole Foods to see if they sell the same brands there?
