The USA.
Yes, surprising how many stay for 50 years and want to go back. By that time it's too late I suppose, because so many of their family have gone.
I spoke to an old lady in a restaurant one day and she told me she'd been here since 59, and she'd love to go back England to live, but her brothers are dead and she has nobody there now. Kind of sad really.
Good for you! I'll be almost 9 months behind you, but I'll be there by this time next year.

I had to laugh when I saw you'd put 'tie a yellow ribbon' above your avatar - ever since I made the absolute decision to leave Oz, all that's been going through my head is the words 'I'm going home, I've done my time'! ......so appropriate!!

SuperRams ( are you from Derby?!) I feel your pain, you sound like a male version of me. but I have been here 13 years and it is still painful, I too live in a remote area in NH..... took me 10 years to even begin to make a life for me. But dont give up, I have waited until my children are adults albeit young ones, 18 and 19, I have to have my life now........I long to go home everyday, that sick empty feeling as if somethings is missing just never goes away.
Good luck to you and all who are making the move.
barb how many sleeps now, can you believe it!?
