As promised, Christmas Day pics of snowy Scotland. This is one of our favorite walks.
Picture 1 is the start of the walk, about 2 minutes from my doorstep.
Picture 2 is the horsefield, looking out over the valley.
Picture 3 is my favorite meditation spot (i.e., where I go when my ping-pong madness sets in!)

Next lot:
Picture 1 is Suzy, my nearly 13-year-old pooch, showing she's still got what it takes.
Picture 2 is the Gawk Stane, pretending to be a snowman. If you slide down the west side of the stone with your eyes closed and make a wish before you land on the ground, your wish is granted.
Picture 3 is the Campsie Fells that overlook the village. Over to the left you can just see Dumgoyne, a volcanic plug. Nestled at the foot is the Glengoyne whiskey distillery (you can't see it in the pic).

... and the last lot.
Picture 1 is the stable block in the local country park, that houses the cafe (they do a full-on breakfast from heaven - bacon, lorne sausage, eggs, potato pancakes, beans, tomatoes, and toast, all for less than a fiver)
Picture 2 is a robin in the courtyard of the stable block (well they wouldn't be Christmas Day pictures without a robin, now, would they?)
And Picture 3 is another view of the valley, coming across the moor on our way back from the country park.
All of this within 10 miles of Glasgow!

Guess what? It's coming down again, in big, thick blobs (apologies to those of you sweltering away on Bondi Beach).

Some melted here lastnight but for the most part it's like an ice rink out there. Took the dog for his walk this morning and saw casualty and a broken hip flash before my eyes at least three times! Nightmare!!!
Think more is on the way next week for us in Yoikshire.
Nu-shooz - hope you had a great christmas day back 'ere!

Happy new year everyone!
Can I just say that today I cannot stop eating, I have recently lost my appetite but today it has come back with a vengeance and I am quite overweight enough thank you.
Whats everyone up to NYE? Mr PP is well pissed off with me as Ive booked a dolphin cruise and we have to be there for 8am
We were going to go snorkelling/swimming on Rotto but Mr PP has reminded me that he cant swim or snorkel for a minimum of 12 months
