Default So Long, Farewell..........

Well I just had to let you in on our news....

House is sold, settlement is 26th June and our flights are booked for the 29th June!

It feels great to actually have something booked and not be in a state of limbo anymore!

I feel so positive, its the best I've felt in ages. Someone actually said to me the other day that I look younger, didn't realise I looked that old in the first place

Anyway just wanted to share, off to do a silly dance around the room, again!!
Can't wipe the smile off my face, not sure about looking younger, more like the village idiot at the moment, but I don't care because I'M GOING HOME!!!!

Thanks mand I am happy. Was just wondering if you had managed to get extra baggage allowance for your flight back to uk? We are flying with Emirates and were given 40kg on our flight to Oz but when I spoke to someone at Emirates the other day he said we were only allowed 20kg (well I think he said that, had a bit of trouble understanding him )

Thanks for that, do you think 8 suitcases for the four of us will be enough evidence?

It never entered my head when I flew back about the extra allowance. I secured it before i went to aus. I only realised when I got to Adelaide airport and put the case on the scales and the young man at the desk said IT'S OVER

HOW MUCH i asked....LOTs he said..lol

This is when he said I was only allowed 20kg. They gave me a box to put some stuff in and i paid excess baggage!

Hope you have better luck.

I rang Singapore Air up recently re extra baggage for returning home and they told me that we'd still only be allowed the usual amount, but they do allow up to 25kg each. Not exactly what we wanted to hear!

Bugger! Its not looking good is it?

I'll just have to be ruthless with what I pack and what I ship.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks Seasprite. We are treating ourselves to a holiday over east before we go back, gawd knows when we'll be able to afford another one!
So going to make the most of the time we have left as I'm sure it will be a while before we come this way again, if ever.
