Shipping recommendations - Sydney to UK

Hi

I did a search but nothing too recent came up. Just looking for any prices anyone has and recommendations for shipping companies to relocate from Sydney back to the UK?

I think we should just need half a container as even though we've expanded the family out here we'll go back with less. Not taking couch, dining table or most of the bedroom furniture.

Any help appreciated!

All of the major shippers are good. Grace were good when we went UK to Oz.

If you aren't shipping a lot then have a look at a large move cube.

Be aware of shipping large Oz fridge freezers as they often won't fit, likewise top loader washing machines.

hi,

Couple of top tips, check out FIDI website for a list of FAIM certified international removal companies that serve your area to make sure whoever you're using is fully qualified and independently vetted for international moving.

You can consider movers based in Australia or in the UK and it might be worth getting quotes from both sides to compare.

There are lots more tips about choosing removals companies and your different options over on our vendor forum for International Removals advice. Hope it helps!

Thanks. There will be no white goods coming back. The AEG front loader that came with us packed in after 15 years service on the day baby number 2 came home from hospital. Just have a gumtree special serving us now.

We used Grace on our move from Sydney to the UK (about 1/2 container) and they were great and very competitively priced. Robinsons are handling our goods at the UK end but the ship arrived only 2 days ago (1 week later than original ETA) so can't yet comment on them.

First quote in. For 14 cubic ft and 5500. That's with full pack. Have asked for what it would be to pack ourselves as it's not much.

Will get Grace in for a quote. Have also had a personal recommendation for Chess so will have a look at them too.
