I'm trying to get an idea of the costs ahead of me and am trying to find a shipping
company in the UK to get my stuff over to Monroe, Louisianna.

Can anyone give any advice in this area? or at least a place to start looking,
trawling round the net hasn't revealed much so far, my searches have been bringing up
everything but what I want. I figured the 3 month type of shipping would be cheapest
but would they expect you to pick it up from the port?

Any advice or links would be gratefully recieved

look in the local yellow pages for international removers..and no generally speaking
they will organise a firm to transport from the poe to your home. it was expensive
when we did,it was for a whole home contents and the insurance was very high..youll
probably need to get your own customs papers as well.. rough idea i paid five
thousand pounds hope that helps
