Default Sheffield... Glasgow... Newcastle

"A Sheffield garden, a Glasgow street and a slice of old Newcastle were honoured yesterday as outstanding examples of how cities can be improved.

The awards are aimed at encouraging planners and architects to make urban spaces as attractive and accessible as possible."

i can quite see why sheffield got the honour - the peace gardens and winter gardens are spectacular! both are wonderful places to go to escape life yet are in the middle of the city centre ... wonderful!

You can always pop down to the Winter Gardens to warm up, try and stop the twins getting wet by those big aluminum balls and drink a coffee looking over the Peace Gardens
