Selling family house in UK, live in US need to open Uk bank account
Hi, My brother and I are in the process of selling the family house in Uk. I live in US, and would like to deposit money into a bank in Uk as I want to reinvest money into a rental apartment in Uk to generate some income. Was supposed to move back to UK in 2020 but COVID changed plans, so am now waiting till craziness is at least plateaued on both sides of pond to resume moving plans! However, I’m having some issues finding a international account. I’ve pinned it down to Lloyds international savings as the best choice but was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or other UK international bank accounts I’m a bit skeptical of some of the international online accounts especially as I’ll be depositing £100k I’ve been in US for over 31 years so have no UK credit history etc, but I’m joint owner on the UK house. Thanks so much for any help and advice

We have HSBC accounts in both the US and UK. We lived in the US for 29 years before moving back 5 years ago.
I didn’t research other types of international accounts as house money is a serious amount.

I used Barclays International and opened whilst still US based. Choice of Isle of Man, Channel Isles or London based offshore accounts. No complaints at all, in fact impressed with service received.
