Rough Shipping Price NYC to LDN

So I know it is incredibly hard to give a price as there are a lot of variables but I am just looking for some first hand experience of costs. I have only been in the US for a couple of months but the expectation is that we will move back in a few years.

Having rented a place unfurnished we have spent quite a lot furnishing it and want to see if it is actual worthwhile shipping it home or just buying new in LDN when the time comes. This is really as I want to buy some nice pieces of furniture in the city and I don't know if it is worthwhile

It is a 1 bed apartment with the general items...bed, sofa...table...dressers etc.

Any ideas on rough costs shipping by sea?

Thanks in advance!

depends who you use, how you pack it or they pack it

budget $3000. See link below for NYC to London for a 20' foot container

Then contact the folks below for a rough estimate.

do your cu -ft' calculation on line. A 20' container is approx 1360 cu-ft

Would you maybe get a relocation allowance as well?

I think it's probably worth it if you get nice stuff.

Possibly but I wouldn't count it as covering a lot of stuff.
