Depends how you view it..reassuring if somebody is worried about be able to fit back in again..scary that you might end up back at square 1 again.
Me i have moved back to Canada again and finding it much more difficult compared to when i moved back to the UK.

It was hardly better in the GTA. I remember years ago, a dutch visitor brought us some daffodil bulbs as a gift. We planted them in the front garden and then the squirrels dug them up and hid them.

Weather today in Edmo: -18C with 'light snow' (up to 30 cm). So pleased to be home.

Re: Reverse culture shock?
We've been back in the UK after 8 years in OZ for 2 years and 3 months. Both myself (Brit) and hubby (Kiwi) are struggling, and I'm suffering badly with reverse culture shock.
We are now considering a move elsewhere, but are trying hard to settle back in as financially the UK is working really well for us. We just did a 3 week safari to Kenya which we'd never have been able to do from OZ. Since returning we have both felt quite a bit better about life in the UK. I think whilst you can suffer from reverse culture shock it's worth giving it a few years. We are certainly committed to seeing out this year before any rash decisions are made.
Our situation most likely stems from having been unable to find a house to buy. We are trapped in highly unsuitable rental accommodation and need to come up with "plan b" if nothing eventuates in this area this summer. Very wearing!
