returning to UK after a long time in NZ
 

Not even sure if this is the right place to put this thread, but anyway, here goes.
Has anyone returned back to the UK, to live, after being in NZ for some time, say over 10 - 15 years?
What was it like, what had changed so much you can't recongise it? Was it a good move or a bad one? What did you miss from NZ and what made you happy that you went back?

I haven't written off a move to the UK and I have been in NZ 15 years.

We moved back in 2017 after 13yrs in NZ.

What do we miss from NZ? .. A few of the friends we made and the empty roads. That's about it really.

What made us happy we'd come back? .. Grandchildren! .. and the feeling that this is where we belong.

Had it changed much? .. A bit. More buildings, more houses, more traffic.

For us .. A good move.

I forgot to say that we enjoyed our time in NZ, it was a great experience and we are really glad we went.

We have no regrets about moving to NZ and none about moving back.
