relocating dogs to the UK ?
We were wondering what other peoples experience has been with relocating their furry family members across the world...we are considering a shift from New Zealand to the UK, we are UK passport holders and would appreciate some insight into the process by people that have been there done that ?

Hi, We transported our mini poodle from Perth WA to Manchester UK back in 2010 and she was just fine, she stayed at our local kennels in Perth (who arranged all the travel details) our local vet issued the up to date vaccinations and documentation) and 6 weeks later (after leaving WA) we just picked her up at Manchester Airport

We moved our chihuahua back in 2016. He flew the same day as my wife (I went a week early) and we arranged the flight to take account that he would be held in Dubai for several hours and would then have several hours in the reception centre in Heathrow. So, he flew a few hours before my wife. So, we were able to get something to eat and then collect him
The main thing is that they have to have a rabies jab a month before flying. I would strongly recommend you use a professional pet shipping company. We used Dogtainers who were excellent.
