regular use of transferwise

Wondeing if anyone who uses Transferwise on a monthly basis has run into any problems. I get a monthly amount deposited to my US bank account by OPM ( Government pension) - I sent them instructions to do International Direct Deposit and I recently chased them up only to be told to be patient. My only way to access this money is to use transferwise until OPM get round to depositing the money directly into my UK account.

I recently was asked by transferwise to upload photo ID which i did and they acknowledge - I transferred some money from the US bank which receives the deposit to my UK bank - it went through fine but now it looks like the transferred money has been redeposited into my US account! Any one have this issue? Is it because I use this service on a monthly basis?

I’ve done loads of transfers with Transferwise - sometimes several in one week - and never had any problem.
If I were you I would call Transferwise and ask them why the transfer did not go through.

I would also triple check that all the bank details you have entered are correct. I recently paid a contractor and the money bounced back after a few hours because when I set up the contractor’s bank details I had transposed 2 digits in the sort code.

Whenever possible I always send a small 'tracer' transaction first to make sure all the account details are correct.
