Default Recieving your US social security in the UK

I have a question for anyone who received Social Security or survivors benefits while living in the USA. What I am trying to find out is will the British banks accept direct debits from the social security in the US as I get a monthly check and as of now it goes into a US bank but I would like to have it going into my British bank account. Your help would be appreciated thank you. Thank you.

No problem. Social Security will pay direct to your bank (direct deposit not direct debit!).

Are you returning to the UK? Don't know if they will direct deposit into a UK bank account if you have a US address.
I see from your other posts, you have moved back to the UK.
BTW I will have a moderator contact you regarding your opening a new account. If you have forgotten your username and/or passport, they can help you straighten it out.

I have a question.
I am living back in the UK now, I have dual citizenship UK/USA and I also get survivors benefits from the USA.
If I decided to claim a carers allowance for taking care of my partner over here would it mess up my survivors benefits from the USA. It would not be worth it if it did. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?
Thanks in advance.

It depends - there's a lot of info on this page. See where your situation fits. As sI read it, basically, if you are over 60, you can continue to receive benefits. If you have remarried and are NOT over 60, entitlement is typically lost. https://www.ssa.gov/planners/survivors/ifyou.html
