proper 'hard'
Been out for a couple of rides since I've been back. The hills in my area are not long (5-7km max) and don't have huge elevations (600mtrs or so) but are insanely steep, more so than anything I've ridden in Oz. I think them Romans wanted to save money by going straight up.
Anyway with newly acquired booties I went out for a bunch ride yesterday (8 of us). 51 miles according to one guy's Garmin (i think that's about 80kms). We went through some beautifully picturesque country lanes and never touched a main road. However the beauty was hidden in torrential 6deg rain that turned to hail and then we had a bit of sun and what seemed like a constant biting headwind (on a loop ride ;)). Pace was pretty high and we had our heads down driving through the mud and cow cr@p. Felt like 'proper hard' spring classic stuff. It's great to be home. :D |

Thx. It has been a long time. :) Have to say it wasn't the greatest ride but still beats the headbanging heat and humidity. If Mrs T is happy, I'm happy really. So I hope she'll be happy here.
HERE'S HOPING. Good luck and happy days ahead for you both I'm sure. |

Yes good luck to you all. :fingerscrossed: I think the UK is a great place to live but I just wish we had good weather, :( also I live in the SE and it is so crowded and a bit manic! We are thinking of moving somewhere quieter and a bit less expensive so like many of people on this forum - a lot to think about.
