Please help with van insurance.
Hi there, :)
I am just about to move back to England from the Netherlands but my Van insurance is just about to run out and i will need it to move stuff over soon. I can't say when i will have the time to travel, most of the trips will be spur of the moment last minute. I approached my present insurer and asked about being covered but they could only offer me 30 days holiday travel insurance. I explained my situation and they looked into another way to cover me but i've just heard back from them stating it will cost over £1000 to do it. This seems a little high to me. I have a 3.5t volkswagen crafter so normal car insurance won't do it. I have 15+ years no claims and a full clean UK driving licence. What more could an insurer want? :D I've looked around the internet but most companies have the same policy which only covers up to 140 days abroard or doubles in price as soon as you mention the word overseas. Does anyone out there have a solution to my problem? I could really use some help. Thanks for your time, Sue |

How much stuff do you have? In cubic metres that is.
The amount of stuff isn't really important bacause i'm tied to a years contract by the person i rent from in Holland and i'm not keen on letting him know i'm leaving until the last possible moment because he has the spare set of keys. I'm taking bit by bit away with me so he won't notice if he makes a visit. I'm happy to take the whole year if i can. |

Hi Sue,
I've been looking for you for some years! How are you? Still in Holland or in UK? I am back in Sweden since 2001. really hope to see you again. Julian julian [at] rosengren.us
