Oz BBQ's in UK

I know this has been discussed before, but would be interested to hear if anyone has actually taken their BBQ back and got it to work properly?

I brought back a camping stove the last time I returned, and after having something fiddled with in a shop (that was the technical terminology as I recall it) it worked ok. Wondering if I'll just have to do the same this time?
