Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
Cheers...thankyou...we got about 3ft but the drifts around the house are much higher, being close to the ocean we got high winds and they were constant all day for a few hours you could see nothing.
We are lucky the man next door snowblows for us and during the day of the storm he did it 3 times. He is from Bristol...our daughter also came over and dug out an area by the back door for the dog, eventually we will have to make a pathway from the front of the house to the back so the oilman can make a delivery. We are expecting more snow tomorrow..... |

I will never understand how dental health is not considered urgent enough to cover under general health insurance. DD is a cardio-vascular ICU nurse and she says that in cardiac patients if their teeth are not in good shape all have to be pulled before surgery due to the high risk of infection. And while we are on the subject - vision. Really? Not covered? A number of diseases can be predicted through an eye exam, and surely prevention and treatment of eye diseases themselves should also be under general health.
I heard the other day that 90% of retired people (Seniors) in America have NO dental coverage, sadly thats just amazing. |

Hi Curleytops.... don't just say Canada, say where. Remember Canada is 5,780 miles across. It's like comparing California to New York. Here on the West Coast of Canada, unless you go up in the mountains, we have mild winters with less snow than England. Right now, it's sunny and not very cold. I'm driving around with my windows open. I can't remember the last time we had frost.

Up until this year he's ploughed it with an old Land Rover, pushing the snow back onto a patch of spare ground. Some years it takes until June for the very back of that snow bank to completely melt away. |

I'm afraid I wasn't so lucky; I lived 2 hours west of Thunder Bay in NW Ontario. This was taken around Ground Hog Day in my last winter in Canada. Around those parts, 6 more weeks of winter is an early spring.

I heard Cadbury's was in a bit of a fight with Hershey's over imported chocolate. I can understand why Hershey's was nervous about the competition; there's no contest. Hope you can find a good supply line!
Sticky situation: Outrage as Cadbury banned in US Cheers |

Much of USA's Valentine's candy came from Mexico - ABC News
So could your Cadburys chocolate be manufactured in Mexico? Cheers |

I will boycott Hershey as much as possible.
To think people love hersheys kisses is a joke, tried them once Never again. If anyone wants to see a good movie could I suggest "The Imitation Game", I enjoyed it. |
