No matter how long it takes, FB, you will get there eventually. This is all part of the process, just like my 2-3 month wait for my passport is part of it. ;)

Why is it taking so long for your passport? Mine took less than 4 weeks.

I have to renew an old expired blue passport so it is like applying for a first passport apparently. Six months ago even this only took six weeks but at this moment they are terribly backlogged. Just my luck! :(

I hope you have a great time back in the UK - you deserve it! I also hope that it proves to be a useful trip for you - I know that you are seriously thinking of moving back there so hopefully will be able to find the information you need on available jobs, accommodation, etc.

What is the name of the gal that moved from Texas to Belfast? Any updates from her?

Celtic Spirit - she moved back just before Christmas last year. I don't think anyone has heard from her. She posted when she just got back - her little dogs arrived safely but there was a problem with her luggage (which I think was resolved). I wonder how she is doing.

I've been wondering, too.

LOL - yeah it may not rain as much as other times (of course no guarantees - it could bucket it down like usual )

I was being a bit humorous really. Where I am now there is hardly ANY rain at all so I am really looking forward to the British rain.

I know what you mean about grey being depressing, though. I am sure I will feel that way after a while, too.

Last time I went back I stood outside in the rain at Heathrow, oblivious to the fact I was getting wet, and just LOVING it - so brown and dry over here I can't wait to be home again.

Where I was before, we had more snow than rain, so I am still enjoying the rain in the UK. One of the things I thought I would miss was the Alberta blue skies, but I don't. I get enough sunshine in my neck of the woods to satisfy me and I also love the way the sky changes constantly. This morning there were dark ominous clouds alongside sunbeams breaking through white cloud. Just beautiful.
