Jasper123..Dont give up I am still learning and sometimes things just dont work but I keep trying.
My Mother had Fish knives and forks and we had the dainty cake ones. We just had to replace our fridge and stove in the instructions for both it has a paragraph for the "Sabbath Mode" for turning off lights and dispensers. Never seen that before. No I wont give up, I will get the hang of this in a couple of days and then I will be thinking why did I think it was complicated  enjoy your new fridge and stove, me Mums fridge is a little over 30 years old and its still going strong, its one of those fridge and freezer tower stack combination, |

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
Lovely supportive thread!
That youtube link had me crying with laughter! (And it is so typical of a system that drives you to anger then becomes uncooperative because you are angry!!) EDIT: new post: J123,-I was writing this when you posted! |
Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
Yes indeed, very funny....i sometimes had trouble with voice recognition--on some telephone systems for example-- when in the US as my accent was still too English for the technology to understand it!

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
Yes, it was very funny. Just love that we can still poke fun at ourselves. Being a Scot, I learned very quickly to slow down my speech in Canada, otherwise people couldn't understand some of the words I was using. I never did master "thirty" (too many r's, for a Scot) instead, I had to say "three zero":)

Re: Over 40's Moving Back and Catching Up
Are you possibly copying the URL from a Google search result? I know when I search for something in Google and copy the shortcut, it doesn't work - maybe you need to actually go to the video (click on the Youtube result link) and copy the URL from the Address Bar (highlight, right click, copy). Keep trying! |

Yes that's what Im doing, OK first in this thread I click on new reply, then what confuses me is up the top of window theres four little things to choose from, insert link, insert image, another insert link, then above that there is attachments, so before I even begin Im confused at which one of these I click on to get started,
As Dunroving has suggested, get the clip running and then copy the address from the top. Then just paste that into the main text area of where you are writing the reply. Have a go at that, and let's see the result :) |
