Great idea, that way someone gets to use it and no plane tickets to Buy, Jackie, you or Rod, could toss a coin or two, but watch out those two lived in Vegas

Wow no way are we having HOT weather like you down south. Well a few days have been hot enough for even me to sit in the shade, but not every single day. It is 8.19am here and is overcast but I have noticed that the mornings tend to be like this and then the sun comes out about 12 o clock.

On Friday night we had a massive storm, lightening, rain and even HAILSTONES and an hour later it had gone and the next day on Saturday was a lovely sunny day, so it's a bit more of a mix up North I think. :o

MiX UP North? yea but I will take this English weather over anything the USA has to offer, I heard about that lightning & hell stones storm, WOW that must have been something

I'm thinking of spending time in the Canterbury area and Herne Bay is one of the hottest places in the UK, in spite of being on the coast. Plus the humidity can be unbearable in the south east. I've lived thirty years in Bermuda so know all about humidity and high temperatures. Don't particularly want to replicate that! Scotland sounds good!

The trouble is, the British Summer is the star attraction.

It's got me thinking about Scotland again, too. Who wants crowds of people, gridlock and heat!

So your Sony TV is one of the new digital TV's, and what a cheap price for a Sony 42".

Oh thanks a lot Barb for the info, I had no Idea about the introduction of the digital free channels in 2009, I wondered why when we bought this new TV we could all of a sudden get all these extra channels ----- I love it !!!! :D

It's called Freeview, if you are getting it from a regular aerial (i.e., not connected to a Sky dish):

http://www.freeview.co.uk/

We can't get it where I live, so I went with Freesat, also free, but needs a Sky dish:

http://www.freesat.co.uk/

Kinldy donated by the government, essentially for free. Isn't it wonderful living in a socialist country?

Glad that was you windsong. I don't want to confuse bandrui with a new location. Anyway she wants to be in the South.

As cheers mentioned a while back, the Scots want to stay put in the Lothians and Fife in retirement while the English invariably move to places like Devon and Dorset.

Some canny English sell up the pile in the Home Counties and buy a mansion in Argyll.

Anyway, I thought we accused the person going on about crowds and gridlock of being a drunkard!
