Its funny how history repeats itself, My Mum had a basket for shopping years ago, it went everywhere with her, 40- 50 years on and back to square one, maybe baskets will come back into fashion.

Oregon is very much proactive in these types of things, canvas bags have been pushed for a 5-10 years.

Hi Fish,
Off the subject but I know you look at the webcam on Abbey Road so I thought you might know why they have the road in a mess?
Cheers

Does anyone have the new Windows 10 software. I had to go that route because Google no longer supports Vista.
I was telling someone yesterday that Hitler could have won WW2 if they had computers then and he could have done it without men, machines or ?.
Now the Russians know what they are doing. They know they can take over by using the computer!
Sorry about that outburst but the Windows 10 is insane. Others have expressed the same opinion.
So nobody has been able to contact Rodney?
Cheers

Windows 10 is a cunning plan by the Russians to destroy the West.

That's true about fashion cycles. Even those shopping baskets on wheels are coming back into use.

You mean those daft folding things that people took around in their Chelsea tractors so that they could cycle from the parking to the office?

Brompton bikes? Er, no...just meant cycles in fashion. Not really daft though they're quite cool. Plenty of London commuters use them to get from ther terminus to the office.

I meant the cheap fabric covered wire box like contraption that old ladies used to pull along in the 70's. A bit like a modern carry-on suitcase. Maybe they have a name, and I just don't know it...

Got it in one. Looked that up on Google Image and the said contraption appeared. For some reason I thought trolley was limited to the wire carts that supermarkets provide.

There are times I would have been happy pulling one along behind me as I walk back from the shops but I am resisting looking like and OAP for a bit longer!

Well, that tickled me.

I'm thinking push it in front of oneself in a nifty nonchalant manner,

I have an attractive fold-up shopping trolley which a friend bought for me on the QE2. It is very neat when folded, but is only practical for short distances. Generally a store security man carries my shopping bags across a small roundabout to a taxi stand for me, I always seem to buy a lot more than is on my short list.

Err I think I knew that. You've been in England too long and have therefore lost your sense of humour.

Possibly insufficient alcohol.
