Off to Britain tomorrow....

.... and really looking forward to it - my first trip home since Christmas 2007 (although the Mrs has had two work trips to London without me in the last 15 months) and I can't wait: Couple of days with my parents in Scotland, then a week in a cottage near Alnwick with my sister and family, then a week back at the parents' place before flying back on July 31st.

Will be interested to see exactly in what ways "it's all changed" etc.

Have a fab holiday. I would love to go back for a trip, haven't been home since we moved here 5 years ago, because we can't afford it :(

flight is at 10pm this evening - just looking out the window at the crappy weather which I hope clears up a but in the next few hours: Newark Airport is notorious for descending into delay/cancellation hell the moment the weather turns anything less than perfect.

Have a fantastic trip home.

I've just booked for Christmas, it will be our 1st trip home since we moved here 3 years ago. I also can't wait.

Have a great time. The weather has been incredible for the last couple of months apparently. Hope it lasts another 3 weeks for when I get there. It's getting so close now I'm just aching to get there. Been 18 months for me.

Have a great trip! Looks like you're here already.. (UK)
We came over for three weeks, going home next Tuesday. Weather was hot & dry for the first week or ten days, been a bit cooler and rainier for the last few. Naturally the wife has been complaining about it being cold & damp .. seems perfect to me.

I stayed in a cottage in Alnick with my sister a few years ago; very nice area. Superb used bookstore in Alnwick..
