NI numbers

Hi, After 20 years overseas I am returning to UK with my two children, who were both born overseas. They have British passports. How do I find out their NI numbers for registering with doctors, dentists etc ?

I am sure I will have many more questions!

Thanks

What you need is their NHS number, NI numbers are only gernerated when someone starts working,
might be somewhere to start..

We didn't have our NHS numbers on hand when we registered with our doctor but they got it all worked out. Just say "don't know" on the form and leave it to them!
