How many dogs have you got? If there are more than two, it might be cheaper to do the QM2 if you can get to New York.

Queen Mary 2, the only scheduled liner that regularly does the transatlantic route between Southampton and New York. They've got kennels aboard. The pets are not allowed in your cabin, but they get to go walkies and you can visit. Not sure about Canada but I think from USA pets have to travel cargo to fly to the UK, so the ship might be easier. Often works out cheaper with more pets than paying to fly them which can be pricey.

See the Cunard website for more details.
