Moving costs for a cat NZ to Scotland
 

Has anyone done this without having to pay a huge cost. Just got a quote and it was $10,000 NZD 😱

Wow! I don’t have any quotes but we’re planning on doing the same with our 2 so I’d be very interested to know if there are cheaper quotes out there

we just moved to the UK from NZ and all up total costs were approx. 6.5k NZD for 2 cats. That included everything - cages, flight, overnight stay in Auckland with pet transport company, clearance fees to UK, Vet bills/rabies shots, and transport from Heathrow to Norwich.

we used Aeropets and they were awesome.

Hi everyone
We use Pet Transport.co.nz - George Thomas is the contact. Have used him many times over the years and my daughter who is moving to Edinburgh in May is using him again. Approx cost for one cat - $5000. It's more expensive at the moment because of a lack of flights/places on flights for pets. The cat will fly Singapore airlines. She is an exotic and so no other airline will fly her. Emirates are currently charging $10,000 which is excessive.
