Moving back to Uk
Hi, can anyone give me some advice on shipping some of our goods back to the Uk we only have a few pieces of furniture to take back.
We have been here two years exactly, have had a great experience but husband has not found a job yet. He has now been offered a job in the Uk so we have decided to move back. We have not regretted moving to Canada and so glad we tried. Looking forward now to seeing good old Blighty. Hubby looking forward to a 20oz pint!

Ask someone like AMJ International or Brytor for a Groupage Quote.
You'll get your goods in a container with someone's else's stuff and it takes a little longer maybe 4-5 weeks but its about $1000 per 100cuft.
20ft Container is 1000cuft
Insurance is about 2.5% of the quoted value of goods.

Hi, this post and link might help you get started? http://britishexpats.com/forum/overs...ompany-851592/
good luck and please let me know if you have any specific questions I can help with? As apskinner says Groupage is probably the most cost effective option if you're not shipping much back.

In terms of shipping all your stuff back, do the folding method for all clothes, table cloths and other things like that. Make full use of any luggage space that you get on flights - it's amazing how much room you can save. (I speak from experience here)
There are companies like Pickfords and ShipIt which tend to have very good reputations, so you might like to check them out and see if they come under your budget.
