Moving back to UK in 2 months - any tips?

I´ve not been a member long but have been browsing this forum the last couple of months which has been very helpful and have enjoyed reading other members stories, so these are my plans:
After meeting with a lovely couple last night who are going to make arrangements to send over our pets we have made the decision to come back beginning of December but having been told how much it´s going to cost (half of our savings) for them I´m wondering if we are going to have enough to live on. I currently earn €5 an hour as a restaurant PR and my partner is on sales commission only which has just been reduced by his boss!!!
Things are going to be tight but with family to stay with (and will have to probably staylonger than expected) and I am remaining optimistic out the jobs (I have no professional qualifications.), but I am quite flexible about what I do and hopefully the skills I´ve gained being away will make me stand out from other job applicants (we are both in our early 30´s).
I currently have stuck on my fridge pictures of all the things that are making us go back, friends, family, my little dream chocolate box thatched cottage (Im from the North so this is novelty to me) with a garden for the pets (we are currently living in a 1 bed apartment with a small terrace and there are no places to walk dogs apart on the streets) surrounded by fields and hills that we can take them on plenty of walks and bike rides, Christmas with the families (first time in 4 years) etc.....
As much as I have enjoyed living here, there are certain factors that I don´t like and make it difficult for anyone to settle and make a life here. Unless you are young want to work in the local clubs at night and house share or you can be mortgage free and don´t need a job to rely on paying rent and bills etc.
But having spent most of the morning brain storming the move back and trying to get things in order in my head it´s suddenly sunk in the enormity of the move. Not like when I came here with just one suitcase (met my OH here and gained a dog and a cat which in no question we will leaving here, they are part of the family and they have not seen snow!)
So if anyone out there can give me any tips, offer adivse on how to keep this simple it will be much appreciated.
Sorry if I´ve waffled on but is nice to have people out there understanding what we are going through and not having any family out here to talk to sometimes you can feel cut off.

Good luck with the move. ![Sunglasses](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/sunglasses.gif)
I haven't moved with pets, so I'm no help there, my sister did, and she said the pets needed some sort of pet passport. to travel in Europe.
