Default Moving back with teenagers

Hello,
I need some advice. We are seriously wanting to move back home. We have been in USA for almost 9 years. It's been fun but I feel as though it's time to go back.
Kids are 14, 15 and 16. Eldest will graduate high school 2019.
I have researched universities and it looks like she will not be entitled to any loans or financial help due to not living there for the past 3 yrs?
Does anyone have any experience with moving back with teens? We just cannot afford to send her without any financial help.
Thank you in advance.

Anecdotally people have said that some universities for certain courses are prepared to offer places at 'home student' fees, it really depends on the university and it may well be a good idea to telephone round.

Thanks.
Would it be the uni offering the finance? Even with home student fees we would need assistance.

Just a thought, but if only 16 she will have a couple more years if you were to move back now before she started university. The worst case is that she would take a year out and go at age 19. Many people do this now anyway.

Yes that's true. But we weren't sure if we should let her graduate high school before leaving? Which would be 2019.

Just curious - are your 3 teenagers happy at the thought of returning?

Yes they are. I was worried how they would react but they are ready to move. Some hesitation in regards to lifestyle change but happy.

Financial help for university students is available if you have been resident for 3 years.

A better deal is available for those resident in Scotland where indigenous students pay no fees. Residence for 3 years is requires.
