Moving back...? Hopefully a quick question
Hey everyone,
I think I know the answer (need to re-apply from scratch), but wanted to confirm with your knowledgeable selves. Brief history: I lived in Scotland for about 7 years and I was about 6 months away from full citizenship (spousal visa) when my wife (Scottish) and I moved to Canada (my citizenship). First off, I know it would have been ideal to have waited another 6 months and then move, but my mother fell unexpectedly ill and has since passed away, so that was the option we chose to take and I’m happy we did. We have now been in Canada for 2 years, where my wife is now 2 years into her Canadian spousal visa and I’m just curious if we were to ever move back to the UK once she gains full citizenship here – would I need to re-apply from square one and wait the entire 5 years again?
Thanks so much
Shaun
